This property is highly recommended. A roomy and higher standard detached cottage on a working arable & dairy farm 2 miles from the spectacular sandy beaches at Bude and Widemouth Bay, North Cornwall. There is a 1 mile footpath through the farm to Widemouth Bay beach, & a 2 miles walk to Bude and its beaches via the canal footpath leading from the farm. The Bullers Arms pub in Marhamchurch village (three quarters mile away) does excellent meals but also Inns along the waterfront in Bude. A quieter & really pretty farmyard setting with adjacent farm cottages, with access by a 1/4 mile farm lane. A real walker’s paradise-spectacular Nat Trust coastal path and also a bird sanctuary area along the canal. Bude offers all the usual facilities of a beach resort and much more. Bude's main attractions are its superb sandy beaches. When first completed the barn won a barn conversion award , being superbly designed with high beamed ceiling,stone chimney , walk round gallery & feature full height west facing window lending space & light in abundance. There is coarse fishing (approx £5 per person per day 2005 prices-payment is collected from you whilst fishing) on the Bude Canal which runs through the farm (closed season is April & May). Can explore the farm & woods and also watch the cheesemaking. There is a wood burning stove in the sitting room and the first basket of logs provided free (more by arrangement). The central heating is on a timer switch (twice daily). Mobile electric convector heaters in bedrooms. Small enclosed walled front patio(toddler proof) with patio furniture, & small lawn area. The great feature is the free use of the farm's outdoor heated swimming pool (a large 50ft x 25 ft, shallow end approx 0.75 meters & deep end approx 1.5 meters) which is available from May 28 until September 10, and complete with built in BBQ & poolside furniture, being a few minutes stroll away. Near the top of the farm lane the owner’s have a delightful tearoom which has a garden, pets area and a free small playpark area with swings etc. £1 electric meter. 2 dogs are welcome.

Accommodation: First bedroom has 1 double bed. 2nd bedroom has 1 double bed. 3rd bedroom (downstairs) has 2 single beds, & 1 single bed ( 2ft 6 ins width ) on a railed sleeping platform reached by a ladder(great fun for adults or children). Fourth bedroom (downstairs) has bunk beds. The roomy lounge has soft seating for 7 , colour T.V., video. Kitchen/diner has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, with seating for 8. Freezer. Utility room. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Both a downstairs toilet and a downstairs shower room. Also a bathroom with bath & toilet.
